IMPACT REPORT: PARTNERING WITH DVR YAKIMA FOR LIFE TRANSFORMATION

At Better Future Finders (BFF), our mission is simple: we connect individuals to a better future
through tailored career preparation, life skills coaching, and holistic support. In the last six
months of our partnership with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) Yakima, we are
proud to report several key achievements that highlight our commitment to transforming lives
and creating long-term impact.

ACHIEVEMENTS OVER THE PAST SIX MONTHS
Job Placement Success: We have successfully placed three clients into fully benefited,
competitive integrated jobs, which aligns with DVR’s mission to provide sustainable
employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Job Retention Success: One of our clients has successfully progressed through our Job
Retention Program, which is designed to provide ongoing support and guidance as they settle
into their new role.
Community-Based Assessment (CBA) to Job Placement: A client who completed a
Community-Based Assessment (CBA), an evaluation that identifies work readiness and areas
of potential growth, has seamlessly transitioned into a job placement.
Ongoing Job Placements and Retention Support: Two other clients are currently in our Job
placements and one in Retention Program, they are all receiving the necessary support to
ensure their long-term success.
OUR APPROACH: PREPARING CLIENTS FOR SUCCESS
At BFF, we believe in holistic preparation that goes beyond securing employment; we prepare our
clients to thrive both in their professional and personal lives. Our approach includes:
Interview Preparation: We equip clients with effective interview techniques that boost their
confidence, helping them make a strong first impression.
Resume Building: Our team helps clients craft professional, tailored resumes that highlight their
strengths and qualifications, ensuring they stand out in the job market.
Grooming and Professional Appearance: We emphasize the importance of presenting oneself
well, both during interviews and on the job, guiding clients on appropriate grooming and
professional dress.
Other Supports We offer: Once employed, we offer support to our customers in areas such as
time management, financial literacy, self-care, and workplace ethics to ensure clients not only
keep their jobs but also grow within their roles.
Time Planning: We teach clients how to organize their schedules, meet deadlines, and maintain
a balanced work-life dynamic.
Financial Literacy: Clients receive guidance on managing their finances, budgeting, and
planning for a secure future.
Self-Care: Stress management and wellness tips are provided to ensure clients stay physically
and mentally healthy while pursuing their career goals.
Work Ethic: We focus on instilling professionalism, integrity, and dedication to foster long-term
success in the workplace.

BETTER FUTURE FINDERS
As we continue our partnership with DVR Yakima, our goal is to reach and
positively impact even more individuals. At Better Future Finders, we don’t
just help individuals find jobs – we help them find purpose, independence,
and hope. We take pride in every client’s journey, knowing that the skills
and support we provide equip them for long-term success. The results of
our partnership with DVR Yakima over the last six months speak volumes,
and we are eager to continue making a profound difference in the lives of
more individuals in the future.
